I always use circular needles so those basic fixed circulars would be my choice. I like to make a pillow with some yarn, maybe with more then one treath to make a thick one. So my choice would be size 36.

I have never tried such chunky style projects but they look so fun. The design results are interesting and beautiful. I was just speaking to a woman at my local knitting store about her chunky pet bed that she designed and she inspired me, to try one as well. I have an upcoming techniques class to teach for lace and cable stitches but after that having a set of these would be awesome for me to dip my toe into oversize chunky knitting!
