This month, we're thinking BIG! Our Basix needles come in large sizes and are just right for quick, chunky knits and fast felted projects! In today's blog post, we'll share some of our favorite patterns for big needles and give you a closer look at Basix. You'll also have a chance to win your choice of Basix needles this month!

Basix Giveaway

Our Basix needles are lightweight and available in double-point, single-point and fixed circular needle styles in a range of larger sizes.These perfectly-pointed, durable needles are ideal for chunky yarns. 

Get to know Basix below, then leave a comment on this post telling us which type you'd most like to try out. Don't forget to leave a way for us to contact you (email address or Ravelry ID will do just fine). We'll randomly select one winner to announce on Friday, April 26. Good luck!

  3. Basix Fixed Circulars - 47in US 50 - WOW - I have some pretty amazing sketches which would love to come to life. This is the first US 50 I have seen in that length! HUGE chunky blankets for our family, then world domination of chunky blanket madness. ;)

  16. I always use circular needles so those basic fixed circulars would be my choice. I like to make a pillow with some yarn, maybe with more then one treath to make a thick one. So my choice would be size 36.

  30. I have never tried such chunky style projects but they look so fun. The design results are interesting and beautiful. I was just speaking to a woman at my local knitting store about her chunky pet bed that she designed and she inspired me, to try one as well. I have an upcoming techniques class to teach for lace and cable stitches but after that having a set of these would be awesome for me to dip my toe into oversize chunky knitting!   79. The 10.5 metal circular needle I'm using on this sweater are driving me nuts-wanting to slip out of the first several stitches of each round ! I volunteer at a seniors' care home for their knitting group, and these would be a rewarding donation to the group's supplies. The large size would be easy for them to hold, and the large cap and wood material would prevent stitches from falling off.

  119. I ordered a set of your interchangeable circulars off yarn.com a week or so ago (they were on sale, I got a heck of a tax refund, things happen...). I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, as I've never knitted with any of your needles before, but WOW! I love these things!

  163. I am currently knitting with Knitters Pride circular #5 32" for a spring scarf. I would love to have the Double Point needles to make a pair of socks.I have alot of needles, but I like Knitters Pride THE BEST!!!!!! Thank You for A GREAT PRODUCT!!!!
