Find Your Perfect Needle with Staci Perry and Knitter's Pride!

We're pleased to introduce Find Your Needle, our new three-part video series featuring Staci Perry of VeryPink.com! These short YouTube videos will take you on a journey to find the perfect Knitter's Pride needles to suit your knitting style, project, and yarn.

In Episode 1, you'll get a closer look at the various materials we use to make our needles: Nova Platinas (chrome-plated brass), Karbonz (carbon fiber shaft with metal tips), Dreamz & Basix (densified laminated birchwood), Bamboo (Japanese bamboo), and Trendz (acrylic). We also take a look at the unique cuboid shape of the Cubics lines of needles offered by Knitter's Pride. You'll learn how to match these materials to suit your project, yarn or knitting style along the way, thanks to Staci's extensive knitting know-how.



In Episode 2, Staci gives you a closer look at the various types of knitting needles we make: Interchangeable Circular Needles, Fixed Circular Needles, Double Pointed Needles (DPNs), and Single-Pointed Needles (straight). Staci shows examples of each type and explains how to match your needle type to your project, yarn and knitting style for maximum effectiveness.



Finally, in Episode 3, Staci shares how to use the information from the first two videos in order to choose YOUR perfect needle! She explains the importance of gauge, and why it is a good idea to have a needle set on hand so that you have a full range of needle sizes at your disposal. You'll also get a look at the Comby I & Comby II Sampler sets, which include interchangeable needle tips to try from our most popular lines: Dreamz, Symfonie Cubics, Nova Platina, Nova Platina Cubics, Bamboo and Karbonz.

    I have a set of Knitter's Pride Karbonz, the box of joy, a full set of cubics and cubics double points in the smaller sizes. I would love to have a full set of wooden straight needles and a full set of wooden double points in the larger sizes. That would pretty much give me all the needles I would ever need. Haha! Can never have too many.

    I hope Staci shows us the crochet hooks with particular attention on close-ups of the hook and handle shapes. I use a knife-grip which is in the minority and need the closer 360 degree view of the handle. So contrast and comparison of the different handles per grip or hold would be greatly appreciated,

    I recently went to "Needle Tasting" at my LYS and now have two pair of Nova Cubics Interchangeables and 1 cord. I WANT MORE! l love these needles, and will someday have the complete set including the 4 inch.     First, I have the Karbonz IC sets. They are so lovely to knit with!! If you were on the fence about these you shouldn't be :-). As to the one I'd like to try: cubics Birchwood! I have the cubic nova but metal needles seem to bother my fingers so I'd love to give wood set a go :-)

    I have been knitting for over 50 years and don't own a decent interchangeable set. Any of your sets would be a fantasy. Were I to choose one, I would probably try to either the new platina set, although I'd love to see the karbonz and the dreamz in person before I chose.

    I find that wooden needles are easier on my hands than metal so would like to try Karbonz as they appear to be more flexible and stronger and I like the idea of metal tips. I also like the convenience of interchangeable needles. Thanks for offering this promotion.

    Karbonz look pretty amazing -- I am torn between them and the Dreamz, since I've heard a lot of good things about those and I'm pretty in love with the idea of interchangeables, and not hunting around to find the circular I need!

    love Karbonz, I own US 2 Karbonz DPNs that are fantastic. Love DPNs, interchangeable circs and a couple of fixed circ sizes.

    Love sharp needles so the platinas sounds really interesting, but when knitting slippery fibers eg alpaca something less slippery would be nice, like your new plastic needles. Ravelry: simoom

    I like metal needle the most, but for circular needles I actually dont have the same preference. I would love to try the symfonie cubies! I have never seen cubic needles before and I am really curious!

    Currently I use your Knitter's Pride Dreamz needles and love them. I started on plastic Boye straight needles. I find myself sometimes going back to them for really slippery yarns. I would like to try your Trendz needles and see how they compare to the plastic. I like the colours of them too, one thing I really like about the Dreamz. One glance and I know which size is which.:)

    Great info here. The Nova Platinum Cubics would be my first choice--want to test the ergonomic aspect. Mostly I would like interchangeable needles that don't separate from the cord while you're knitting.

    I would ultimately love to try them all through the 2 Comby sets, but since we are asked to chose one, I'm really intrigued about the Bamboo interchangeables. I knit loose but have always loved the "faster" materials. After seeing the video, perhaps I should give the KP Bamboo needles a try since I haven't found a line in Bamboo that I really love.

    I started with bamboos and thought I would never use metal but I tried a set and fell in love. I am a tight knitter so I would love to try the Karbonz. However, based on her recommendations I may do better with the Cubics because of repetitive movement issues. Bottom line, I love ALL needles!
